Annalise Leonelli earned her Juris Doctor from St. John's School of Law, where she attended on a full tuition Dean's scholarship. While in law school, Annalise earned a Peggy Browning Fellowship and worked as an intern at Pitta LLP, fostering her developing interest in Labor Law. She also interned for the Directors Guild of America, where she had an opportunity to apply experience from her former career in the film and television industry to trade union practice. Additionally, Annalise served as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development (JCRED). Her student Note, A Business Doing Pleasure: Combatting Sex Trafficking by Decriminalizing Sex Work, which advocates for labor and employment rights in the sex industry, was published in JCRED’s Volume 36, Winter 2023, Issue 3. While in law school Annalise also competed as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, winning Best Oral Advocate at the Reardon Moot Court Competition and finishing as a quarterfinalist in the New York University Immigration Law Moot Court Competition.

Prior to law school, Annalise spent three years in Singapore earning a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Asia before freelancing in various capacities in the film and television industry in New York and Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Rutgers University summa cum laude.
