Noelia E. Hurtado

Noelia Hurtado is a Senior Associate at Pitta LLP practicing in the area of employee benefits law.

As an attorney in private practice, Ms. Hurtado has guided benefit plans through the thicket of ERISA and all aspects of employee benefits law. Her experience includes counseling trustees on fiduciary duties, plan operation, plan administration, relationships with service providers and litigation of benefit claims. Most recently, Ms. Hurtado was counsel to the federal administrative law judges of the Social Security Administration, formulating and drafting comprehensive case decisions as well as assisting in post-hearing development as well as post-hearing actions.

In addition, Ms. Hurtado was in-house counsel for PepsiCo, Inc. where she provided legal advice related to ERISA litigation, Department of Labor VFCP filings and Internal Revenue VCP filings.

Ms. Hurtado earned her Juris Doctor from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law, Hartford CT, where she served as a Developments and Topics Editor to the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University having studied Political Science and Spanish/Latin American Literature and Linguistics.

Ms. Hurtado is fluent in Spanish.
